There is usually a high number of players at this agegroup, open training sessions and trials over the summer will end up with players being selected for the teams. A further session has been set up for U16s who have not been able to make the teams and will be an oppoutunity for players to train and play some friendly games and develop for next season.
We will enter an U16s team into the National League (NL) and also a team into the Surrey Central Venue League (CVL).
The teams will practice together twice a week and have regular games. CVL games are played on a Sunday morning at one of the Surrey venues, but not every week. NL matches will be played at our home court or at away venues. They will take place most weeks and can be on a Saturday or Sunday. Details of game schedules will be available at the beginning of the season
Players for each team will be based on coach’s selection. They can potentially be on both CVL and NL teams, but there are some age related restrictions on this. Coaches will choose players for games and teams based on many factors that we will make clear to the players at training, for example, effort and attitude.
Once the squads are selected there will be annual subs. Subs for the season can be paid in a one off payment at the beginning of the season, or in monthly instalments. Game fees apply to players selected for any games.
The additional U16s Development session will be pay to play each session.
All coaching time is given voluntarily, therefore subs solely cover costs for court hire, league entry, administration and equipment.
